Having spent no small amount of time trying to do it, I attest to this advice being nutty for all but a few business situations.
If you are a busy business person, an expert in your field, super efficient at your skill, it is common sense to offload your recruiting work to a professional staffing specialist. Sure, hire a student if the opportunity permits, but don't make recruiting them a core business process.
And if it makes sense to hire students, why not let an agency slog through the time-consuming work of recruiting them?
Or is their point that at high school you can pick up some hot young white people?
