Wither Click-Fraud?

I noticed a competitor IP address registering multiple clicks on one of our adword ads, and so I shot a question over to SEM expert Clint Danks at ThinkSEM:  “Is this click-fraud?”

He answered [slightly edited by me]:

click fraud really doesn’t exist on Google…….if any type of “fraudulent” clicks make it past…they usually find them within a couple days and reimburse you.

Again, there is no need to worry about any type of blatant click fraud in Google these days……everything they track is based off of a users IP address.  So, if the same one clicks it 4 times (in your case)….it should be reversed……..

….in general terms…across all of the major search engines…they have really done a good job with click fraud the last couple years….but, it is still there….on a very, very small level….and, unfortunately, you have to just deal with it at times…..
