Google executive Marissa Mayer says that Google has "solved search", an apparent borrowing of thought processes that led to Pickett's Charge, the Maginot Line, and the Ford Edsel.
Search is no more solved by Google than communication was solved by the telegraph or transportation by the train. But more important to the recruiting industry, search is about many other things.
For the recruitment industry, search is all about location, community, and personal assistance. It has little to do with Google's forte of indexing Web pages.
