[On this day in 1947, the Brooklyn Dodgers played their game with Jackie Robinson]

When I talk with staffing owners, especially ones who are over 50 like myself, it’s painfully clear our success correlates with relying on people who are far different from ourselves.   We know that if we don’t get that ‘What are they doing here?’ reaction to a new hire from staff from time to time, then we’re not just trying hard enough.

You never know when or how that new, different kind of person will make a big difference like Jackie did in this 1968 letter to LBJ.
