A Crain’s documentary about wage theft focused on a dispute between Select Remedy and a worker who claimed underpayment.  The company claimed the worker was fired for illegal drug use on the job.  The worker claimed he was fired for organizing the workers.

The worker also claimed – and this is not hard to believe – that the temp company was unable to provide him with copies of his timecards.  Ah, yes, you knew there was a staffing software angle to this, right?

TempWorks paperless timecard solutions would have solved at least part of the dispute.  As for the organizing and the marjiuana and the underpaying, not so much.
