If you have a spare 15 minutes today to generate new staffing business, try this simple customer win-back tactic:
1. Run a quick search of customers that have stopped doing business with you.
a. This should be a standard report if you’re on TempWorks (call support at 1-651-452-0366 if you need help with that). Otherwise, if you’re on a sql or other open database, you can find this out with a quickie interactive dashboard using Microsoft Excel … something like this (video clip).
b. Remember that the #1 reason that your beloved customer stopped doing business with you isn’t that you did something wrong, it’s just that they are not that into you. Maybe someone else just happened to call them at the right time.
2. Come up with an enticing offer to get their business back. Something like:
a. Free one-hour HR consultation
b. Free day. “Try one of our world-class call center operators for one day absolutely free.”
c. Free online seminar on reducing your payroll costs.
3. Communicate the offer in three ways, to three people at the client.

b. Follow up the email with a phone call.
