Forget about bad bosses or a co-worker with lousy hygiene as the top reason for complaints about office conditions…it’s the damn temperature.

"Complaints of the temperature being too hot or too cold always top the list, often alternating from year to year," say researchers from the International Facility Management Association in their study, "Temperature Wars: Savings Vs. Comfort."

The study shows a direct correlation between “thermal comfort issues” (hey, why use one word, temperature, when you can use three) and employee satisfaction scores.

Other common grievances? High noise levels, lack of space and strange odors.
