Mancan Inc. Staffing announces the opening of another staffing office – Chardon, Ohio. [PR]
The state Employment Development Department reported last week that there were an estimated 38,800 people working through temp agencies in February, 2,200 more than the same month last year. That represents a very healthy 6 percent increase. Nationally the American Staffing Services reported that its hiring index, which is compiled from hundreds of staffing firms that are members of this trade group, was up 4.5 percent during the first part of this month from the same period in March 2011. The pattern is that 2012 is looking like a healthy year so far. [The Press Enterprise]
