If I had to pick one word that described the staffing industry, it would have to be ‘Competitive’.  Competition is what makes staffing brutal, but it is also what makes it great.

The same goes for food truck business apparently.  I say apparently because here in the Twin Cities there are no food trucks to speak of.  We have some great markets and food stands, but trucks don’t make up an important part of our culture.

However in bigger cities where regulation and a lack of quatre murs - Los Angeles and Washington DC come to mind – have killed off competition at sit-down restaurants, all the excitement for foodies centers around the trucks.

That at least is what I learned from this American Enterprise Institute podcast on the subject which I found to be a refreshing breaking from the liberal vs conservative arguments that have dominated the news since the sequester started.
