Labor Finders Announces 1,000 Days of Work Campaign

Press releases find their way into my inbox on a daily basis. But this one stood out to me.

Labor Finders has committed to providing 1,000 different companies with a free temp for a day. It will be interesting to see if anyone takes them up on the offer. They plan on publishing pictures of success stories on Facebook. That will be the most interesting part.

The program will launch on September 4th.

As with any marketing push, people will inevitably sit back and wonder “What’s the catch? What’s in it for Labor Finders?”

Like anyone else, they’d like to get their foot in the door. Many staffing companies offer a “try before you buy” period or some kind of guarantee — so this is not really a new concept. But I do think it is a creative way to tell everyone about it.

1,000 Days of Work: Putting Americans to Work

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL— Politicians have made promises to lower America’s unemployment rate with no positive results in sight.  America is tired of broken promises and one company is doing something that the politicians have failed to do. Labor Finders International, the oldest and largest privately held industrial labor staffing company in the United States is going beyond making promises; with their innovative program 1,000 Days of Work, they are pledging to put Americans to work… one free worker at a time.

Dan Shube, Director of Marketing for Labor Finders, the developer of 1,000 Days of Work stated, “Talk is cheap, and yes, I know it is an election year but I was tired of hearing from politicians that they have the answer to America’s high unemployment and yet our government has failed to do anything about it. We fully understand that keeping your business afloat is not cheap, which is why Labor Finders will pay for the first day of your temporary employee. Plus, you can try before you buy, so when you do decide to hire, you can rest assured that you are making the right decision.”

Each Labor Finders office will choose five companies to receive a temporary employee for one day—1,000 workers nationwide. Labor Finders is covering the cost of the day of work for the 1,000 workers including the day’s wage, all taxes and Worker’s Compensation insurance; with no obligation whatsoever for the employers. “All we ask is that you have a need, and evaluate if there could be an opportunity to employ your worker for one more day. Who knows, some of the workers may even end up working a week or more. Actually, we are so confident that many of our workers will be so impressive that they will be hired permanently,” said Shube.

“Labor Finders is determined to do what our government has failed to do, create jobs. Our goal is simple, putting America back to work—one worker at a time.  We will provide images of the people whose lives will be impacted by this campaign and an opportunity for businesses to participate on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/LaborFinders.”  The 1,000 Days of Work will launch on September 4th.

‘Free’ is the most powerful word in marketing. Used wrong it can connote cheap or low quality. Used right, trust and satisfaction. It looks to me like a great campaign for Labor Finders.

“Each Labor Finders office will choose five companies to receive a temporary employee for one day—”

As in, the top 5 prospects of each company. Pretty well thought out.

As you mentioned Paul, many companies will do a one day, no obligation placement to try to get business… but having a national campaign behind you may make it more palatable to some companies. I hope they have some success with this.

As an avid follower of Staffing Talk I was thrilled to see this pop up in my Google Reader. Thank you for bringing attention to our campaign Paul.

Our workers will have a great opportunity to get their foot in the door with new employers. We’re happy to pay for their first day on the job, because we’re so confident in our the quality of our candidates that we know the employers won’t want them to leave!

Join us at http://www.facebook.com/LaborFinders to help us put America back to work.
