Paleontologist commenting about movie dinosaurs: "Running around screeming your head a  good way to starve."

A commercial banking friend told me that of the many closely held companies whose books he gets to examine, the most profitable ones have management teams that don't talk much.   They don't easily release details about what makes them so profitable.

He suggested I do the same, but I have trouble following his advice.  I love to share and talk.  Offering up my ideas to wide scrutiny gives them a chance to be honed over time.  But as I've gotten older, I've tended to get more careful.
