I’ve been watching my 16-year-old fumble through the process of getting a summer job. She’s in the “I applied but they didn’t call back” stage right now.
This got me thinking about all the job solicitations I get and how little resumes matter in a tight job market. One solution to the candidate glut is to stand out not with your resume, but with your approach, particularly the cover letter.
