The old decision framework of build vs buy is giving way to a new era of composition. Few companies try to do it all on their own (build) any more – it’s too expensive, but they also realize that they need to differentiate based on technology and that vendor solutions (buy) don’t get them that differentiation.
This creates the opportunity for enabling composition (compose) and is now one of the major drivers of sales at TempWorks. With composition, we provide continually upgraded process blocks, and we allow the client to quickly maneuvre beyond those process enablers with their own differentiation. One of our hosted clients, for example, took our intake process block and developed its own extended service that connects to it. They get the advantage of turning that service as they see fit with each client, yet they get the stability and ongoing improvements to the core process block.
