Not counting Viagra and other enhancement products, Talent Management companies are taking up a disproportionate amount of space in my spam folder these days. These companies offer everything from applicant tracking to human resource outsourcing to Web-based performance management tools. My guess is that there are just too many of them out there, that they'll need to find a better way to market, that in the end they if they succeed they'll find themselves in the staffing business in one form or another.
Great news: they have great names behind them. No, I don't mean great names as in fucking Matt Damon. I mean they have great names for their products. HCM, SAAS, Workday, Trovix ('trovare' is Italian for 'Find'), Empagio (Italian for something??, not sure what). Sexy marketing too:
