Cloud Computing Faceoff?

Bruce Schneier keeps a great blog on computer security, and in this video clip he sounds off on risks associated with cloud computing.

I liked it first because he states plainly, unlike so many IT reporters, that “cloud computing”  is a fancy term for the evolution of mainframe computing and service bureaus.  The primary advantages and disadvantages stay the same.

Trust remains the paramount consideration. Whether you decide to keep your data in-house or with an outsourcer like TempWorks, you need to be able to trust the people hosting your data.

And sound business continuity practices dictate that you have contingency plans if your trust or data is compromised.
