I’m a sucker for old photography. I don’t mind admitting I have a pretty impressive tintype collection at home.
I started looking through old pictures of staffing offices, ads, and signs and found a lot more than I thought I would. When looking at these it’s impossible not to be impressed with how far we’ve come today.
My personal favorite: the “Don’t Be A Job Hopper” sign drawn by Walt Disney.

These pictures are really neat! So thankful I do not have to manually calculate punched time cards like that!

Do you have any historical information on how agencies survived during “really challenging” times in our history. What areas of staffing were in more demand? What employers were seeking agencies for help with so many people unemployed?
Love your photos!

Sounds like a great article idea Gina! I’m interested to know. It would be great to compare the parallels between then and now. They say history repeats itself. When we take a look back we just might see how to look forward in a more productive way!
