One thing is clear from my jobs tour out East last week: business owners don’t trust the Obama situation.
They see handouts and higher taxes but no visibility of a long-term healthy economy. The result has been massive avoidance of new projects and spending slowdown on employment all around. You can see the real-time progression on Slate here.
