Who cares if your staffing firm has a voice?
The American Staffing Association does, and recognizes its outstanding members every year with two awards distinctions: the ASA Care Awards and the Staffing VOICE Awards.
The ASA Care Awards recognize members that had exceptional corporate social responsibility initiatives.
If your staffing firm has implemented a powerful business practice, or is known for its philanthropic efforts, you’ve got an in. The Care Awards are given for outstanding employee or client policies, environmental practices, financial investments and specific projects.
Winners are awarded in five categories:
- Staffing firms with less than $15 million in annual sales
- Firms with between $15 and $100 million
- Firms with more than $100 million
- An associate member that provides products or services to the staffing industry
- An ASA-affiliated chapter
Submissions are due by July 29.
Last year’s winners created opportunities for workers with disabilities, gave out scholarships and donated to charitable organizations.
If your firm has outstanding vision, originality, innovation, creativity or effectiveness, you’re likely a VOICE Award candidate.
Every year, the American Staffing Association awards standout communications efforts from its members, in 16 categories, through the Staffing VOICE Awards competition.
The ASA recognizes successful advertising and public relations campaigns and programs. The awards categories include direct mail, social media use, company publications, promotion of ASA membership and public service.
The submissions will be judged by a panel of communications specialists in national and independent staffing firms.
The Crystal Awards go to the following top campaigns and entries:
- Communications (best campaign that advanced the overall image of the staffing industry)
- Best of Show (the best single entry in each class)
- Judges’ Award (judges’ choice for exceptional achievement)
A word of advice: using ASA member graphics in your entries will give you an advantage.
Entries are due to the ASA before Aug. 1. The winners will be announced later that month.
Award-winning entries will be on display at Staffing World, the annual convention on Oct. 11-14. They will be featured in the ASA’s weekly newsletter, “Staffing Week,” as well as their bimonthly magazine, “Staffing Success.” They also get the added feature of graphic use on their websites and marketing materials.
