I assumed everyone had heard about this amazing story when it happened back in September, so never bothered to post it. But after repeated looks of confusion whenever I mention it in water cooler conversations, I realized some people actually exist who haven’t heard it. So I’ve decided to let you all in on what is undoubtedly the greatest email to an employer in the history of mankind.
The story is quite simple:
A 20-year-old college student emailed a potential employer about a job opening and, instead of attaching her résumé, she accidentally sent a photo of Nicolas Cage.
As she explains so eloquently:
“Jesus Christ I accidently sent my potential future boss a picture of Nic Cage rather than my cover letter+resume, which was a zip file titled with a bunch of numbers like the JPG I accidentally attached oh my God!”
Below is a copy of the email for your enjoyment, and after you read it answer me one simple question. How could this girl NOT get the job? This is the single greatest email ever, is it not? Come on, be honest, you’d hire her, right?

StaffingTalk is not here to help anyone get a job… The URL is not monster.com. There is no job board here. If you happen to get a job from any one of our nonsensical articles, that’s a bonus!
Besides, you know you laughed.

The one thing I wanna know is, where did these Nic pics come from? They’re the most psychotic-looking Nicholas Cage photos I’ve Ever Seen!

I don’t know about the resume attachment pic, but the one at the top of the article is from “Vampire’s Kiss.”
